The existence of the plasma, one of the states of matter, is currently studied by scientists and geophysicists to try to understand its origin and behavior in more detail. Until now it was understood that the plasma was caused by explosions from the sun but now, we are studying the presence of plasma on Earth with its magnetic field have a special relationship (explained in the video).
The position of these plasma structures that occur on our planet are about 600 km. above the Earth's surface, in the upper ionosphere to "Plasmasphere". There is a pattern where the stripes of high density plasma neatly alternating stripes of low density plasma. This pattern moves slowly and align with the magnetic field lines of the Earth.
